Before you send payments, create a Moflay account and set up the organization that will own your API keys, credentials, customers, and transactions.

Prerequisites

  • An email address you can use for sign-in
  • A product or backend that will call the Moflay API

Create your workspace

1

Create or sign in to your account

Use the registration page if you are new to Moflay, or sign in at app.moflay.com.
2

Create an organization

Your organization is the main container for your environments, credentials, API keys, customers, and transactions.
3

Start in sandbox

Begin in the sandbox environment so you can test your integration before you accept real payments.

Understand the basics

  • Organization: The account container for your team and payment data
  • Sandbox: Safe testing environment for development
  • Production: Live environment for real payments
In most cases, sandbox is the right place to start. Move to production only after your integration and credentials are ready.

What to do next

  1. Create a sandbox API key.
  2. Send your first payment with the SDK or first payment with HTTP.
  3. Review how environments work.
  4. If you need to inspect or change Daraja settings, open dashboard credentials.
You do not need to add Daraja credentials before your first sandbox payment. Moflay uses default sandbox test credentials unless you configure your own.

Verify the result

Your setup is complete when:
  • You can sign in to the dashboard
  • You have an organization selected
  • You can switch between sandbox and production views
